First Bitsy project developed in four days. A short psychological horror and suspense experience designed as a narrative-driven game with a twist ending.


MIDNIGHT CHASE

1 week - Game Designer & Developer (Solo project)

First project developed in PuzzleScript in one week. A mystery and horror puzzle game focused on level-based progression, with evolving gameplay mechanics that adapt to the unfolding story.

3 days- Game Designer & Developer (Solo project)

First project developed in Inky in three days. A short horror interactive story with multiple choices that lead to different endings.


INSIDE THE CROW'S NEST

Survival Horror project developed in Unreal Engine 5 with a team of 18 members. Play as a hunter who has been kidnapped and must find his way home, searching for a scape in a cursed monastery full of cultists who want to sacrifice him to bring their god back. Explore three different environments in this game inspired by classics of the genre.


As the team's designer, I was responsible for:- Creating the Game Design Document (GDD) in collaboration with the rest of the design team.- Designing layouts, beat charts, flowcharts, blockout and the puzzle of the second level of the game.- Writing and shaping the game's narrative.- Assisting the programming team with mechanic adjustments and polish.- Working closely with the art team to define metrics, review collisions and lighting, and align gameplay with visual design.- Taking on production tasks such as defining development timelines for each feature and tracking project planning.

ABOUT ME


I’m Gisela, a video game designer. I am currently working on Inside the Crow's Nest, a project developed in Unreal Engine 5 with a full team of about 18 people. My main focus is on creating interactive horror stories and wholesome games.I’ve been a writer since I was a child, and I have published my novel Saphire, written when I was 14 years old. I enjoy designing both horror and wholesome games because I'm drawn to creating strong emotional experiences. Whether it’s fear, tenderness, tension, or comfort, I want players to feel something deeply. For me, both extremes allow for meaningful connection with the player, and exploring that emotional contrast is something that I really enjoy.
